BARRIER FLUID E

CO-120FG EXTREME

CO-120FG Extreme is a synthetic high-temperature food grade chain oil built to excel in extreme conditions. White solid lubricants are used in place of graphite solutions, which helps to improve food safety and avoid the contamination that comes with black particles. CO-120FG Extreme is used to lubricate chains operating at temperatures up to 1,202 °F. It also offers good wetting properties and excellent penetration with high dispersion stability.

RECOMMENDED USES

CO-120FG Extreme chain oil can be used for the lubrication of transport chains operating in the food processing industry at very high temperatures, e.g. plate carrier chains in baking ovens, commonly found in bread, tortilla and pizza production lines.

CO-220 FG

Summit CO-220 FG chain oil has excellent wear protection for extended chain life. Its low evaporation rate delivers a reduction in oil consumption, along with little or no deposits being left on the chain.

RECOMMENDED USES

Summit CO-220 FG chain oil was developed specifically for all drive, control and transport chains subject to high temperatures and loads. It is ideal for use in bakery and other high temperature chain applications in the food industry.

ENVIROTECH CO FG SERIES

EnviroTech® CO FG Series chain lubricants are a specially developed, food grade chain  lubricants blended from bio-based oils and fortified with synthetic food grade white graphite. This unique high temperature formula lubricates at operating temperatures exceeding 1000ºC and meets U.S.D.A. 1998 (H1) guidelines for applications where incidental food contact is possible.

It does not contain VOCs and will out-perform other lubricants containing molybdenum disulfide, black graphite, or Teflon®.  In addition, EnviroTech CO FG contains a natural self-cleaning property which cleans the buildup on chains attributable to the use of inferior chain lubricants. This superior chain lubricant provides excellent protection against wear, rust, oxidation, and corrosion.

RECOMMENDED USES

Use EnviroTech® CO FG Series for chains exposed to high service temperatures which exceed those recommended for conventional lubricants.  This product is ideal for oven chains used in plants which produce bread, cookies, cakes and other baked food products.  It is also suitable for can making where decorative coatings are being cured or applied. EnviroTech® CO FG can also be used in non-food grade high temperature applications.

ENVIROTECH FGPL

Summit EnviroTech® FGPL is a biobased food grade penetrating lubricant formulated for use in the food processing industry. This biodegradable formulation is odorless and tasteless. It is fast acting and rapidly penetrates corrosion or carbon residue on equipment.

RECOMMENDED USES

Summit EnviroTech® FGPL is suitable for use on all metals and alloys. Summit FGPL can be used on food processing equipment as a protective anti rust film, as a release agent on gaskets or seals of tank closures and as a lubricant for machine parts in locations where the potential for exposure to food exists.

FG ELITE SERIES

Summit FG Elite Series food grade lubricants use 100 percent multi-synthetic base oils in combination with performance driven additives to offer extended lubricant life. Field tests have shown these lubricants will last between 8,000 and 10,000 hours depending on operating conditions. In addition, this innovative chemistry offers increased solvency, which significantly reduces deposit and sludge formation. Summit FG Elite Series lubricants offer superior protection against rust, wear and corrosion. Summit FG Elite Series lubricants meet USDA 1998 (H1) guidelines (lubricants with incidental food contact) and are manufactured in an ISO 21469 certified facility. FG Elite Series lubricants have the same software compatibility as Summit SH® Series lubricants.

RECOMMENDED USES

Summit FG Elite Series lubricants are specially designed for rotary screw, vane and reciprocating air compressors used in the food service industry. FG Elite-32 is designed for use in rotary screw compressors and applications requiring an ISO-32 lubricant. FG Elite-46 & FG Elite-68 are designed for use in rotary screw compressors and other applications requiring an ISO-46 or ISO-68 lubricant. FG Elite-100 is designed for use in reciprocating compressors and other applications requiring an ISO-100 lubricant. FG Elite-150 is designed for general lubrication and reciprocating compressors requiring an ISO-150 lubricant.

HYPAR FG SERIES

Summit HyPar FG Series hydraulic oils are formulated specially for hydraulic systems operating in the food service, beverage, and packaging industries. HyPar FG Series lubricants are NSF Registered and meet USDA 1998 (H-1) guidelines (lubricants with incidental food contact). In addition, these hydraulic oils are Kosher approved. HyPar FG Series lubricants are fortified with oxidation inhibitors, corrosion inhibitors, as well as anti-wear additives to enhance the superior qualities offered by the Food Grade base stock. HyPar FG-32, FG-46 & FG-68 lubricants do not produce an iridescent appearance (sheen) on the surface of the water when tested in accordance with the U.S. Coast Guard Static Sheen Test.

RECOMMENDED USES

HyPar FG Series hydraulic oils are ideal for the lubrication of production equipment in beverage canning, bottling operations, meat and poultry processing, dairy operations, fruit and vegetable processing, bakeries, and pharmaceutical plants.

HYSYN FG SERIES

Summit HySyn FG series synthetic hydraulic oils are fortified with oxidation inhibitors as well as anti-wear additives to enhance the superior qualities offered by the synthetic hydrocarbon base stock. They are extended life lubricants and have the same excellent material compatibility as the Summit HySyn series hydraulic oils. HySyn FG-46 does not produce an iridescent appearance (sheen) on the surface of the water when tested in accordance with the U.S. Coast Guard Static Sheen Test.

RECOMMENDED USES

Summit HySyn FG series synthetic hydraulic oils are formulated specially for hydraulic systems operating in the food service and packaging industry. These fully synthetic lubricants are approved by the USDA for H-1 application (lubricants with possible incidental food contact) and comply fully with the requirements of FDA 21 CFR 178.3570 and are Kosher approved.

LUBEAIR FG-22

Lubeair FG-22 air line lubricant is fortified with a special additive package which gives it excellent oxidation stability and low temperature fluidity. It also contains an emulsifier for superior performance in high moisture environments.

RECOMMENDED USES

Lubeair FG-22 air line lubricant is formulated specifically for pneumatic tools used in the food service, beverage, and packaging industries. This lubricant is NSF Registered and meets U.S.D.A. 1998 (H1) guidelines (lubricants with possible incidental food contact).

R SERIES

Summit R Series synthetic hydrocarbon refrigeration oils are designed to function under severe service conditions. These fluids have a very high viscosity index, contain no paraffin and are compatible with various fluorinated refrigerants, ammonia, methyl chloride and carbon dioxide. The Summit R Series are completely miscible with petroleum-based fluids. These products are NSF H-1 approved and have Kosher approval.

RECOMMENDED USES

R Series are compatible with various fluorinated refrigerants, ammonia, methyl chloride and carbon dioxide. R-100 is designed to operate in rotary compressors requiring an ISO-32 viscosity rating. R-150 is designed to operate in rotary compressors requiring an ISO-46 viscosity rating. R-200 is designed to operate in rotary screw compressors requiring an ISO-68 viscosity rating. R-300 is designed to operate in reciprocating compressors requiring an ISO-100 viscosity rating.

RHT FG- 68

Summit RHT FG-68 is a highly refined, hydrotreated ammonia refrigeration compressor lubricant, specially designed to function under the stringent requirements of closed-loop ammonia refrigeration systems in the food service industry. Besides providing value-added benefits in the areas of improved system efficiency and higher productivity, the performance advantages of Summit RHT FG-68 versus naphthenic oils include:

RECOMMENDED USES

Summit RHT FG-68 is exceptionally well suited for rotary screw and reciprocating compressors in ammonia service. It is compatible with naphthenic and other hydrotreated paraffinic-based compressor oils for ammonia service, as well as PAO and alkylbenzene-based products. It is compatible with all seal elastomers commonly used in these systems including Buna-N, NBR and Neoprene.

SBL FOOD GRADE SERIES

Summit SBL Food Grade Series synthetic lubricants are formulated to provide maximum lubrication protection and service for all positive displacement blowers including Roots, Gardner-Denver, Sutorbilt and Duroflow. Advantages over petroleum lubricants include extended lubricant life (up to 4,000 hours with oil analysis), reduced operating temperatures, better corrosion protection, enhanced low and high temperature lubricating properties, longer blower life with reduced wear, and lower maintenance costs. These fully synthetic lubricants are NSF Registered and meet USDA 1998 (H1) guidelines (lubricants with incidental food contact). Summit is an ISO 21469 certified facility.

RECOMMENDED USES

The SBL synthetic lubricants exceed the specification requirements for all of the major manufacturers of positive displacement blowers and are compatible with most commonly used seal materials.

SEAMER OIL 150 P

Summit Seamer Oil 150 P gear oil is specially formulated to lubricate the gear systems found in “once through” designed can closers used in food canning operations. This machine design allows the oil to cascade through the gears, lubricating as it goes, until it is discharged into the sanitary drain system from the bottom of the machine. Seamer Oil 150 P is blended using the highest quality base stocks and utilizes an additive package that provides excellent wear, EP, and corrosion properties. This superior formulation passes all 12 stages of the FZG Gear Test. Tested extensively, Seamer Oil 150 EP has demonstrated exceptional results when used in this application. Manufactured in Summit’s ISO 21469 Certified facility, this product is produced under the strictest hygienic guidelines for food grade lubricant production. Seamer Oil 150 P is NSF H1 approved for use where there is a possibility of incidental contact with the food being processed.

RECOMMENDED USES

Seamer Oil 150 P is recommended for use on canning machinery operating at 800 cans per minute or less. For machinery operating at speeds above 800 cans per minute, contact your Summit representative.

SEAMER OIL 150 S

Summit Seamer Oil 150 S is a synthetic seamer gear oil that protects the gearing and other moving parts of can seaming equipment that reclaims the used oil. The lubricant also suspends contaminants for filtering and removal of water. Fortified with oxidation inhibitors, corrosion inhibitors and anti-wear additives, Seamer Oil 150 S also holds water, juice, syrups and other contaminants in suspension, allowing for easy removal.

RECOMMENDED USES

Summit Seamer Oil 150 S is designed to lubricate can seaming equipment that reclaims the used oil. Produced in Summit’s ISO 21469 Certified manufacturing plant, Seamer Oil 150 S meets USDA 1998 (H1) guidelines (lubricants for incidental food contact).

NOTE: For canning systems utilizing a “total loss system” or “once through system”, use Summit Seamer Oil 150 P.

SUMTECH FGCS SERIES

SumTech® FGCS grease is a 100 percent synthetic calcium sulfonate thickened lubricating grease created specifically for the food and beverage industries. Its special additive system provides superior water spray off and water wash off properties. It offers excellent anti-wear properties, extreme pressure properties, oxidation resistance, and protection from rust and corrosion. The synthetic base stock
gives SumTech® FGCS exceptional low temperature properties and thermal stability over a wide temperature range.

RECOMMENDED USES

SumTech® FGCS grease meets USDA 1998 (H1) guidelines for lubricants with incidental food contact. It is ideal for the lubrication of cookers and other equipment used in meat/poultry processing, fruit/vegetable processing, and bakeries where higher operating temperatures are a concern.

SUMTECH FMG SERIES

SumTech® FMG Series grease is an aluminum complex thickened semi-synthetic lubricating grease created specifically for the food service, beverage, and packaging industries. The aluminum complex thickener system provides excellent water resistance and a broad operating temperature range. A combination of newly developed additives and dependable NX1 additives provide excellent anti-wear/extreme pressure properties, oxidation resistance, and corrosion prevention. Special additives are employed to keep the grease in place between wash-down cycles which improves equipment and lubricant life in wet conditions. SumTech FMG Series grease is NSF Registered and meets USDA 1998 (H-1) guidelines (lubricants with incidental food contact).

RECOMMENDED USES

SumTech® FMG is ideal for lubrication of production equipment in beverage canning operations, bottling operations, meat and poultry processing, dairy operations, fruit and vegetable processing, bakeries, and pharmaceutical plants.

SYNGEAR FG SERIES

Summit Syngear® FG (food grade)are fully synthetic lubricants, are H1 and comply fully with the requirements of F.D.A. 21 CFR 178.3570 for lubricants with possible incidental food contact. They are also Kosher approved. Syngear® FG lubricants are fortified with oxidation inhibitors as well as anti-wear/EP additives to pass the highest stages of the FZG test. They are extended life lubricants and have the same excellent material compatibility as the Summit Syngear Series gear oils.

SYNGEAR FOOD GRADE PG SERIES

Summit Syngear® Food Grade PG Series synthetic oils are polyglycol-based products for use in enclosed gear, bearings, and compressors where conditions demand the unique properties of these fluids. Use these lubricants where there is the potential for incidental contact with food or food packaging. Better wear protection, thermal and oxidation stability and reduced sludge and deposit formation insure enhanced performance when compared with petroleum-based lubricants. These lubricants are NSF registered and meet USDA (H1) guidelines (lubricants with incidental food contact) for use in food plants. Summit is an ISO 21469 certified facility. So not add directly to food.

RECOMMENDED USES

The Syngear® Food Grade PG Series are built specifically for use in enclosed gear, bearings, and compressors in situations where there is the potential for incidental contact with food or food packaging. These lubricants are incompatible with petroleum oils. Care should be taken to prevent the two types of fluids from being mixed.

UNIPAR FG SERIES

UniPar FG Series gear oils are specially formulated for gear systems operating in the food service and packaging industries. UniPar FG Series lubricants are NSF Registered and meet USDA 1998 (H-1) guidelines (lubricants with incidental food contact). In addition, these gear oils are Kosher approved. UniPar FG lubricants are fortified with oxidation inhibitors as well as anti-wear/EP additives to pass the highest stages of the FZG test.

WO SERIES

Summit WO Series lubricants are food grade white mineral oils stabilized with a Vitamin E oxidation inhibitor. They may be used in potable water systems as well as the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, food
processing, poultry, pet food, and textile industries.
